After showing Cranc’s new image, created by the designer Marta Juan for this year’s edition, the organizers of CRANC ILLA DE MENORCA FESTIVAL announce the first confirmed artists of their line up – the edition of “Els 20 del Cranc 2020 ”- which will feature a selection of 20 artists that will not leave anyone indifferent.
The first two confirmed names are: the artist always acclaimed with enthusiasm for critics, Maika Makovski, and the young man, but with a great career, Santiago Gonzalo, known as Bronquio.
Makovski is a musician, actress, visual artist and composer who debuted in 2005 being 20 years old. With multiple albums and first level collaborations, she has confirmed herself as an all-terrain and very versatile artist. She has played with artists such as HOWE Gelb, The Dubliners and The Jayhawks; She has worked with producers such as John Parish (PJ Harvey, Eels, Tracy Chapman, among others); and has acted throughout South America, the United States and all over Europe. She is also TV presenter of the program “La Hora Musa” on TVE2, and after creating the soundtrack of “Quien a Hierro Mata” starring Luís Tosar, she is preparing her new album under great expectation.
Santiago Gonzalo, also known as Bronquio, started with punk tradition and, after that, he did a great job as a producer that pushed him into the world of laptops and sound cards. Bronquio’s experience is pure forcefulness a mixture of beats and textures that touches the clubbing culture, getting into the darker side of the dance floors. Bronquio is the man behind the indie summer song of last year: “Contigo, contigo, contigo”, created in collaboration with Carlangas of Novedades Carminha. He is also responsible for “Sombrero roto”, the new album by Kiko Veneno, that surprised the public again.
He played in music festivals such as Monkey Week, Tomavistas, Low, Vida Festival, Cara B or Marvin Festival of Mexico City, so he is in the international music scene. He is also one of the chosen artist by the INES Talent Europe program to perform at several European festivals.
